  Farmington, MI 48332

Jim and Chris work with an established Japanese

church reach out into their community with the Gospel.

The church people are very bold and creative in using

varied interests and community needs to communicate

God’s truth. What consistently reaches the most people by far are their English classes.

English is now taught in elementary schools, so parents are eager for their children to

have exposure to native speakers. They reach the same 120-180 people each week

with the Word of God through chapel times, and social events and annual camp.

Bible Translators (WBT) is to give God’s Word to people who do not have the light and

truth in their heart language. Currently, Eric assists the Helicopter Operations

Supervisor. The purpose of the helicopter program at JAARS is to evaluate new pilots

to determine if they qualify to serve with JAARS, prepare them for service overseas and

give them recurrency training when they return home for furlough. Eric is involved also

with the vision-casting ministry of the Missions-At-The-Airport program. This program

introduces people to the work of Bible translation and how they can fill the need for

  LINDA WISDOM

  AMERITRIBES

  mailto:linda.wisdom@aneritribes.org

AmeriTribes works among several tribal groups in the

western U.S. and northern Mexico in a church planting

outreach. Because of the native people being unreached

or under-reached, Linda is working among them in a pre-

evangelism situation–learning the language and culture,

relating to them through friendship evangelism, and helping with community

development, all with the goal of eventually planting in indigenous native church

under local leadership. She has been involved in this process since 1974.

Linda will be taking an early retirement in October 2008. She plans to continue

with some office work for the literacy team in Mexico–including typing Spanish/

  Tarahumara stories and language lessons.
